The Bar
We pray against the spirits of doubt, chaos, confusion.
We pray for peace, clarity, understanding, and wisdom.
We pray for the strength of our ancestors, who paved the way for us.
We pray that when we're overwhelmed we come to seek comfort in your presence, dear God.
We pray for humility and sobriety in our lives.
We pray that our actions reflect good intentions, and we pray our good intentions are met with understanding and love.
We pray for the spirit of discipline & focus in our careers.
We pray to be responsible stewards of our resources.
We pray to hold our own emotional space. We pray we learn to hold, control, and release our emotions in healthy ways that honor our purpose, and the name, image, and likeness you've created for us.
We pray for the health, safety, and welfare of our friends and families.
We pray that we don't get in our own way! We trust ourselves, our intuition (our process, our timeline) because we know that you are the author of all of the above.
Good, better, best, never let it rest, until our good gets better & our better gets best.
Be strong, for we have no time to pay dream or draft. Our work is to do heavy loads, to lift, shun NOT the struggle for its God's gift. Be strong, be strong, be strong.
We are Warriors of Light, as we walk through darkness, God your word is the lamp to our feet and light to our path. We shall not forsake our future, nor shall we dwell in the past. We shall be ever present, choosing, choice not control, believing in the substance of things hoped for, and evidence of things unseen.
God, as we let go of who we imagined ourselves to be, allow us to be more who you want us to be.
We can build a castle with wisdom and consolidation. Our emotions will cloud our ability to see our peace; sometimes we will have to be still to find peace and sound judgement. We will continue to trust our instincts and intuition. And we know that things grow when there is good communication.
Lastly, God grant us the serenity to accept the things we cannot change, the courage to change the things we can, and the wisdom to know the difference.
